Ingredients
8 ounce package cream cheese, softened to room temperature
4 tablespoons butter, softened
1 tsp real vanilla extract
3 to 4 cups sifted powdered sugar
1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)
Cornstarch, to thicken (optional)
Freeze dried fruit (optional)
Instructions
In a large bowl, beat together cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and almond extract with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Gradually beat in powdered sugar to spreading consistency.
Mel's Notes
I would add a little bit of cornstarch to make the frosting a bit thicker. You can blend in freeze dried fruit to give it fruit flavor, as well.
