Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons ice water
Original Source
This is adapted from a Williams-Sonoma recipe.
Instructions
In the bowl of a food processor, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
Cut butter into small cubes.
Add to food processor and pulse until pea sized granules form. Add ice water while food processor is running, and process just until dough forms a ball.
Wrap dough ball in plastic, and gently press it down into a disk.
Refrigerate 2-3 hours or overnight.
Roll out pastry on lightly floured board and fit into a 9” pie plate.
This recipe can be doubled, making 2 pie crusts at a time.
Notes from Mom
This is the recipe for a pie crust. It is for a dessert pie with only a bottom crust. If you make a pie that also needs a top crust, double the recipe. It is different than the recipe for a quiche crust, which I will send you separately.

Mom
